What Is Aftershocks?
Aftershocks is a place for me, Elio España, to share my stories, thoughts & experience from over 25 years as a writer and filmmaker.
I have produced hundreds of documentaries (with some drama, commercials and music videos thrown in as well), for tv, cinema and the streamers. I have founded several companies, some of which are thriving, others of which have closed, met a lot of interesting people and discovered some fascinating stories, all of which I would like to tell you about.
Most of my work has been around arts, culture, politics & history and Aftershocks will be a free-ranging voyage across those oceans.
Over the coming months I’ll be publishing stories and series together with my own observations about contemporary events and the lessons that we can draw from history.
There will also be a separate thread in which I’ll share some of my experience in writing, filmmaking and running companies for those who are interested in learning from my mistakes (as well as successes!).
Also, Aftershocks is an open forum - ask me anything, any time.
